This rare 1998 LHD Land Rover Defender 90 is one of approximately 656 examples built for the South African market during a five-year production run that is powered by a  2.8 liter BMW M52 inline-six. A full frame and body-off restoration was commissioned by the owner in 2024 in South Africa before it was imported to the US in 2025.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in a heritage Grasmere green with a white roof over Saddle tan leather interior with a Alcantara roof lining, the truck is equipped with LED exterior lighting, 16? steel wheels, tubular side steps, Alpine windows, a receiver hitch, original factory fitted air conditioning, and inward-facing rear jump seats. An extended fuel tank is fitted for longer range.   This Defender 90 has 890 miles since the full nut and bolt restoration and is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Florida  title.

The truck is fitted with a Pioneer apple play entertainment screen including a reverse camera.

Body-color matching 16? steel wheels are mounted with Mud-Terrain T/A tires, and a matching spare is mounted to the rear swing-out door.

The front bucket seats and rear inward-facing jump seats are trimmed in Saddle tan leather,  equipment includes air conditioning, a dash-mounted USB charging port and analog clock, black rubber floor mats, and a padded center console with cup holders.

The three spoke wooden and stainless steel steering wheel. and frames a 120mph speedometer, gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level and voltage indicator.

South African-market Defenders were offered with the BMW-sourced 2.8-liter M52 inline-six between 1997 and 2001. Output was rated at 192 horsepower and 207 lo-fi of torque when new.

Power is sent to all four wheels through five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer notes a Power Flow exhaust system is fitted.
